I recently hosted my daughter’s 8th birthday party at Mix and Makeup, and it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. During the planning phase, Kyle was incredibly responsive and friendly, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. When we arrived, the team was ready to welcome us, and everything was set up perfectly. The hairstyles they created for my daughter and her friends were absolutely adorable – each girl looked and felt special! They also had a blast playing "Pin the Cucumber on the Girl," which was such a cute and creative touch. Every guest left with a generous goodie bag and big smiles. Thank you again, Kyle and the entire Mix and Makeup team, for making this birthday so memorable and fun – it’s a day the girls won’t soon forget!

I had my bridal makeup and hair session at Mix and Makeup. The studio was clean, the staff were friendly, and incredibly experienced! I opted to do bun updo for my wedding and a natural makeup that still picks up beautifully on camera. Haley did my hair and Kyle did my makeup. Haley was quick and miraculously was able to make my hair stay in place. She gave a lot of good advice on the best hair style that complements the wedding hair accessories. Kyle is an extremely skilled artist, as someone who never wears anything more than tinted lip balm, she was able enhance my natural features while staying recognizable. She really took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed all of them and more. She was also patient and gave me a lot of suggestions to make me feel my best self. At first, I thought I was nuts driving all the way from Philadelphia to West Reading, but makeup artists that knows how to work with minority women are hard to come by, and when I left the studio, I have no doubt in my mind that I've finally found a great team to make my wedding the best day ever.

Edit: I feel like you don’t know how good an artist is until you’ve gone to a different artist for comparison. Kyle really took the time to apply lotions / primers - it literally felt like a face massage. I’ve since gotten my makeup done by another artist (out of state) and was shocked that Kyle’s prepping process wasn’t an industry standard. In addition to the face prep, she really seemed to take her time to do the most for my face and set the bar high! The lip product she chose for my event is now my daily lip product ☺️ —————————————— I got my hair & makeup done at Mix & Makeup before my bridal shower! It was SO nice to have both my hair and makeup done at the same location. The studio is sooo pretty- I’m sad I’m getting married in a different state because I would have loved to get ready here with my bridesmaids. My hair and makeup were perfect for my event!
